When high season peaks and the beaches of Ericeira are busy, you might wanna go north! Just north of São Lourenço lies Calada Beach. There is a cool beach cafe right in the sand which is definitely worth a few drinks!
Eat excellent fish at Assenta Beach
Located in the north of Ericeira, about 15 minutes by car, this beach has an amazing landscape worth to be discovered – and the fisherman´s club restaurant, the Clube Naval de Assenta is one of the best kept local secrets for excellent quality fish and seafood, coming in right at the little harbour at Assenta!
Aldeia da Mata Pequena
Among the green hills of our ‘Saloio’ region sits Aldeia da Mata Pequena, this place that takes you time traveling to Portugal a few hundred years ago. You will see donkeys, chickens, rabbits, ducks, pigs and many more animals living together happily in a rural village with a dozen cottages, where life in close contact with nature and practicing tradition is showcased.

All trails lead to Cheleiros
Right next to Aldeia da Mata Pequena you’ll find Manz Wine and the beautiful Medieval/Roman bridge of Cheleiros, with wonderful walking trails leading you through lush valleys with beautiful scenic views.
